Abstract Shoulder strap attachment for knapsacks, rucksacks and similar. A shoulder strap attachment for knapsacks, rucksacks or similar having a strip-shaped loop in the two lower corner areas of the back side of the main body of a knapsack, rucksack or similar for holding a buckle for the shoulder strap. In order to also be able to wear a knapsack, rucksack or similar built in this fashion as a hand bag, without the shoulder strap attachments interfering, a slit (10) is provided in each corner area (2) at a distance from the corner (8), which is overlapped by the strip shaped loop (16) and through which the loop end of the loop (16) with the buckle (14) can be inserted in the inside of the knapsack, rucksack or similar, and the corner area (2) is further covered by a cover piece (24) attached to the edge of the back side of the knapsack, rucksack or similar, which overlaps the slit (10), thus covering it.
