A brassiere shoulder strap (15) is provided that is shaped so that it conforms to the shape of the shoulder of the wearer. By confirming to the shape of the shoulder, the strap (15) provides and maintains a cushioning effect. The shoulder strap has a curvilinear shaped area (20) that is wider than a conventional brassiere strap in order to increase the size of the load bearing region of the wearer's shoulder. This curvilinear shaped area (20) has an outer cover (220) that surrounds an interior hollow portion (250). This interior hollow portion (250) is filled with a cushioning material(280). In a preferred embodiment, the cushioning material is a silicone gel.

L'invention concerne une bretelle de soutien-gorge dont la forme ~pouse celle de l'~paule de l'utilisatrice. En ~pousant la forme de l'~paule, cette bretelle procure un effet amortisseur durable. Ladite bretelle comporte une zone curviligne plus large qu'une bretelle de soutien-gorge traditionnelle, destin~e ~ accro¹tre la taille de la r~gion scapulaire portant la charge. Cette zone curviligne comporte une enveloppe externe entourant une partie interne creuse. Cette partie interne creuse est remplie d'une mati­re d'amortissement. Dans un mode de r~alisation pr~f~r~ de la pr~sente invention, cette mati­re d'amortissement est un gel de silicone.
