ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to a gardening shovel comprising a blade which includes an elongated tapered section offset with respect to the longitudinal axis of the blade and a second portion extending normally from a marginal edge of the first blade portion. An L-shaped cut is made by means of the shovel which makes it specifically useful in the planting of trees.
