ABSTRACT A shower basin includes a first upper portion which defines a concavity delimited by a peripheral wall and a bottom wall, and a second lower portion. The upper portion is arranged upon and joined to the second lower portion. The second portion includes an upper peripheral fascia supporting the peripheral wall, and a floor-mount base. The floor-mount base includes a plurality of alternatively disposed concave and convex sections, the concave sections having respective end surfaces which constitute an area for the basin to rest upon the floor, and the convex sections having end surfaces which are adapted to support the bottom wall of the upper portion of the basin.
