ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A shower curtain tab of the type secured to a shower curtain provide means for securing the curtain to a shower compartment wall, either directly or through another member fixedly secured to the wall. The tab is secured in a "snap-on" fashion and includes a protruding member whose resilient elements are arranged to move, when contracted or expanded, only in a direction generally parallel with a single plane to facilitate removal of a wrongly attached tab from the curtain, without subjecting the curtain to a damage that is normally likely to occur with snap-on fastening means expanding generally radially in a plurality of directions. The "snap-on" protrusion is relatively long and preferably extends the entire length of the tab to increase the area of contact between the curtain and the tab to reduce the chance of undesired high local stresses when the tab is being removed from its counterpart on the wall.
