SHUTDOWN OF CO-COMBUSTION DEVICES ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An operating procedure whereby a cracking unit is enabled to continue to function when temporarily or perman- ently deprived of its CO boiler. The isolation of the CO- boiler is coordinated with the introduction into the catalyst inventory of a CO-oxidation-promoting metal and with increase in regenerator air supply, to bring flue gas CO down to ventable level.
