- 1 - Abstract The invention relates to a shutter panel supporting device for supporting shutter panels connected by chains engaged by sprockets in order to open and close a building entrance, exit, window, or the like. The device includes long pins extending through and projecting outwards by predeter- mined lengths from opposite sides of the two chains. The shutter panels are rotatably and slidably supported between inwardly projecting parts of the long pins, and rollers are provided on outwardly projecting parts of the long pins for holding each panel suspended in a stowed position. The long pins may be made of suitably large diameter to support heavy shutter panels without necessarily enlarging the size of the chains.
