A Venetian-style window blind (10) that resembles plantation style shutters is described. In a preferred embodiment, the headrail is shaped like the plurality of slats depending from it, is pivotally connected to the sides of a window frame by mounting brackets and has a hollow interior. Tilting of the plurality slats depending from the headrail is accomplished by vertically moving an actuator rod that is pivotally connected to the headrail. The plurality of slats are suspended from the headrail by a cord ladder to tilt in unison with the headrail. While tilting the blind assembly into the closed position, the headrail and depending slats also slide inwardly towards the windowpane. The slats are lifted through the actuation of a lift handle that is slidably attached to the actuator rod and contains therein a lock mechnism to hold the slats in a desired position.
L'invention concerne un store (10) de type vénitien qui ressemble à des volets rappelant le style plantation. Dans un mode de réalisation préféré, le caisson de forme identique à une pluralité de lamelles associées est relié pivotant aux côtés d'un châssis de fenêtre à l'aide de supports de montage, et présente un intérieur creux. L'inclinaison de la pluralité de lamelles dépendant du caisson s'effectue par déplacement vertical d'une tige d'actionneur reliée pivotante audit caisson. Les lamelles sont suspendues à partir de ce caisson à l'aide d'une échelle de corde à incliner en même temps que le caisson. Lorsqu'on incline l'ensemble store en position fermée, le caisson et les lames associées s'inclinent également vers l'intérieur, vers les carreaux de fenêtre. Les lamelles sont remontées par actionnement d'une poignée de remontée fixée coulissante à la tige d'actionneur et renfermant un mécanisme de verrouillage qui permet de maintenir lesdites lamelles en position désirée.
