An alpha prime-beta prime SiAlON ceramic body (20, 30), as well as a method for making the same, made from a starting powder mixture that includes silicon nitride powder that has a beta-silicon nitride content with a range having a lower limit equal to zero weight percent and an upper limit equal to about 1.6 weight percent of the silicon nitride powder. The powder mixture also includes one or more powders that provide aluminum, oxygen, nitrogen, and two selected rare earth elements to the SiAlON ceramic body wherein the selected rare earth elements are selected from at least two groupings of three specific groupings of the rare earth elements.
L'invention concerne une structure en céramique SiAION phase alpha/bêta (20, 30), ainsi qu'un procédé de fabrication de cette structure à partir d'un mélange de poudres de départ qui contient une poudre de nitrure de silicium caractérisée par une teneur de nitrure de silicium bêta se situant dans une plage dont la limite inférieure est égale à zéro % en poids et la limite supérieure est égale à environ 1,6 % en poids de la poudre de nitrure de silicium. Le mélange de poudres contient également une ou plusieurs poudres qui fournissent aluminium, oxygène, azote, et deux métaux des terres rares sélectionnés à la structure en céramique SiAlON, les métaux des terres rares étant sélectionnés dans au moins deux groupes parmi trois groupes spécifiques des éléments des terres rares.
