The invention relates to a side-gusset bag with a body formed by two face panels (1), side gussets (3a and 3b) bridging and extending between side edges (2 and 2') of the face panels (1), and a carry handle assembly on one of the side gussets (3a and 3b). According to the invention, the carry handle assembly comprises two handle loops running parallel to one another longitudinally of the respective side gusset (3a) and projecting from the body. The handle loops (4) are each guided with their ends (5) into the body at a respective one of the side edges (2) and welded firmly to the inner surface of the body. The subject matter of the invention is also a method of making the side-gusset bag.
