ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A trailer body for providing access to the trailer body interior for cargo loading and unloading. The trailer body comprises front, back and side walls, a roof and a platform enclosing the interior. The side walls are formed by side-opening doors each of which, when opened, exposes the interior along that entire side of the body for loading purposes. The roof is releasably secured to the tops of the walls. Means are provided for raising, as required, the roof from closed position on the tops of the walls to a position a predetermined distance above the tops of the walls. The trailer body, with the side doors open along one or both sides of the platform and the roof raised, permits easy cargo loading or unloading of the trailer body using a forklift vehicle.
