The invention relates to an exterior mirror or rear-view mirror for a motor vehicle, comprising a highly reflective layer (4), to which a second layer (3) is applied, whose transmission capacity can be modified by electronic signals. Some sections of the second layer (3) are sub-divided and the individual sections can be controlled independently of one another by a control unit (6). Said mirror also comprises a photosensitive element, whose signals can be used to assess the anti-dazzle effect for the viewer, said effect being transmitted to the control unit (6). According to the invention: the highly reflective layer (4) is semi-reflective; the photosensitive element is configured as a camera (7) and is situated behind the highly reflective layer (4); the camera (7) is used to determine the co-ordinates of an incident reflected light beam (8, 9); and the control unit (6) controls the assigned sections of the second layer (3) in such a way that the reflected light (9) does not exceed an adjustable level of luminosity.
La présente invention concerne un rétroviseur extérieur ou intérieur pour automobile. Ce rétroviseur comprend une couche hautement réfléchissante (4) sur laquelle se trouve une seconde couche (3) dont la capacité de transmission peut être modifiée par des signaux électroniques. Certaines parties de la seconde couche (3) sont sous-divisées et les parties individuelles peuvent être commandées indépendamment les unes des autres grâce à une unité de commande (6). Ledit rétroviseur comprend également un élément photosensible dont les signaux peuvent être utilisés afin d'évaluer un éblouissement pour un observateur et cet éblouissement peut être transmis à l'unité de commande (6). Cette invention est caractérisée en ce que la couche hautement réfléchissante (4) est semi-transparente et en ce que l'élément photosensible est conçu sous forme de caméra (7) et est placé derrière la couche hautement réfléchissante (4). Cette caméra (7) est utilisée pour déterminer les coordonnées d'un faisceau lumineux incident et réfléchi (8, 9). L'unité de commande (6) commande les parties associées de la seconde couche (3) de manière que la lumière réfléchie (9) ne dépasse pas une luminosité réglable.
