Described herein is a testing device. The testing device has at least one peptide attached to a membrane and having a signal enzyme attached thereto. The peptide comprises a substrate for an enzyme produced by a microorganism. There is also at least one detectably labelled substrate, that is a target of the signal enzyme, attached to the membrane at a second location.
