Abstract of the Disclosure Signal apparatus including an assembly for producing a signal beam and another assembly for sweeping the beam in at least one zone of rotation. A control circuit connected to the sweeping assembly causes it to sweep the signal beam in periodically reversed motion at a substantially constant angu- lar velocity across the zone of rotation between preselected endpoints thereof.
