Methods of improving tableware cleaning, sanitizing and stain removal using an automatic dishwashing appliance containing an electrochemical cell and/or electrolytic device. The methods comprise steps for generating electrolyzed water by intermittently activating and/or intermittently deactivating the cell so as to sequentially provide a bleaching species at specific times during the wash and/or rinse cycle. Said methods include a signal-sensing system capable of detecting a composition comprising a signal-providing agent, methods of using said compositions, and articles of manufacture. The bleaching liqour comprises the electrolysis products of halide anions and mixture thereof.

Cette invention se rapporte à des procédés servant à améliorer le nettoyage, la désinfection et le détachage de la vaisselle à l'aide d'un lave-vaisselle contenant une cellule électrochimique et/ou un dispositif électrolytique. Ces procédés consistent à produite de l'eau électrolysée en activant par intermittence et/ou en désactivant par intermittence la cellule électrochimique, afin de produire séquentiellement une espèce de blanchiment à des moments spécifiques pendant le cycle de lavage et/ou de rinçage. Ces procédés utilisent un système de détection de signaux qui est capable de détecter une composition comprenant un agent générateur de signaux, cette invention se rapportant également à des procédés d'utilisation de ces compositions et à des articles manufacturés. La liqueur de blanchiment contient les produits de l'électrolyse des anions d'halogénure et des mélanges de ceux-ci.
