The service fitting may be installed in the floor of a structure. It enables activation of power, communication; and/or data services at the fitting location. The fitting further enables transfer of data signals through jack connections. It includes a barrier for surrounding such jacks at the points of potential wiring shielding breakdown, to prevent electromagnetic and radio frequency interference with signal services. The fitting also enables grounding thereof to drain electronic interference. The barrier further radiates heat to reduce plenum temperatures and retard transmission of heat and flame from a fire.
