Silanised, structurally modified silicas, characterised by groups fixed on the surface, the groups being alkylsilyl (SiCnH2n+1, with n=2 - 18). They are produced in that pyrogenically produced silicas are treated with the silanising agent and structurally modified. They are used to improve scratch resistance in lacquers.

La présente invention concerne des silices silanisées et structurellement modifiées qui se caractérisent en ce qu'elles comprennent des groupes fixés sur la surface, lesquels sont des groupes alkylsilyl (SiC¿n?H¿2n+1?, n étant compris entre 2 et 18). Ces silices, produites par pyrogénation, sont traitées avec un agent de silanisation après quoi elles sont structurellement modifiées. Les silices de la présente invention servent à améliorer la résistance à la rayure de laques.
