The invention relates to ultra-small, monodisperse nanoparticles of silicon dioxide with at least one antigen attached to their surface. The nanoparticles can be used for the immunoprophylaxis or immunotherapy of cancer. The invention also provides a method of targeting antigens at antigen-presenting cells and of activating the immune system, the efficiency of targeting and/or immune activation being adjusted via the particle characteristics. The invention also relates to methods of active and passive immunization of a mammal.

L'invention concerne des nanoparticules monodisperses ultrafines de dioxyde de silicium, à la surface desquelles est fixé au moins un antigène. Ces nanoparticules peuvent servir à la prophylaxie ou à la thérapie immunitaire contre le cancer. L'invention porte également sur un procédé de commande ciblée d'antigènes sur des cellules présentant des antigènes et d'activation du système immunitaire, l'efficacité de la commande ciblée et/ou de l'activation immunitaire étant modulée en fonction des caractéristiques des particules. L'invention concerne également un procédé d'immunisation active et passive d'un mammifère.
