SILICONE ANTI-FOAMING COMPOSITIONS Abstract Composite anti-foaming agents having an excellent, long-lasting defoaming effect are disclosed. These agents are particularly useful in an alkaline medium and in vigorously agitated media. These agents are formed by mixing and reacting an organopolysiloxane oil and/or a hydrocarbon oil; an organohydrogenpolysiloxane; a finely divided silica; and optionally to increase the rate of reacting, a catalyst for the reaction of silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms with silicon-bonded hydroxyl radicals.
