ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention is a silicone-coated article to which releasability is imparted by the silicone coating. The surface of the article on which the silicone coating is applied is composed of a resin containing a polar group-containing comprising (a) 55 to 99% by weight of a unit derived from an olefin and (b) 1 to 45% by weight of a unit derived from a radical-poly- merizable monomer containing a polar group selected from the class consisting of -COOR1, Image Image and -Si(OR)3 in which R1 represents a hydrogen atom, a metal capable of forming a salt with the carboxyl group, or a monovalent hydrocarbon group, and R2 represents a monovalent hydrocarbon group.
