Dry film lubricant coatings are provided by using a silicone resin binder, either as an aqueous emulsion or in a solvent-based system, to fix an alkaline earth metal fluoride to a substrate. The compositions used to apply the coatings may also include relatively minor amounts of xylene, ammonium benzoate, a wetting agent, and/or a porosity-inducing agent - although none of those additives remains in the cured coating. Multi-layer dry film lubricant coatings are also disclosed, with the multi-layer coating having a basecoat layer as described above, and a topcoat layer made of a layer-lattice solid such as graphite or molybdenum disulfide, and a silicone resin, aluminum phosphate or an alkali metal silicate binder.
La présente invention concerne des enduits lubrifiants secs en film réalisés au moyen d'un liant en résine siliconée, soit sous forme d'émulsion aqueuse, soit dans un système à base de solvant, ce qui permet de fixer un fluorure de métal alcalino-terreux sur un substrat. Les compositions utilisées pour appliquer les enduits peuvent également comporter des proportions relativement mineures de xylène, de benzoate d'ammonium, d'un mouillant, et/ou d'un agent induisant une porosité, bien qu'aucun de ces additifs ne restent dans l'enduit une fois durci. L'invention concerne également des enduits lubrifiants secs en film à plusieurs couches, l'enduit multicouche se composant d'une sous-couche telle que décrite précédemment, et d'une couche de finition faite d'une structure réticulaire feuilletée solide telle que le bisulfure de graphite ou de molybdène associé à un liant tel qu'une résine siliconée, le phosphate d'aluminium ou un silicate de métal alcalin.
