The invention relates to silo scales which comprise at least three tubular supports (5), especially for retrofitting existing silos (1) and for determining the filling level of such silos. The invention is based on the principle that a tubular support is exposed to a reversible elongation of its diameter by an axial force. For this purpose, every support (5) is provided with a longitudinal slot (6) that extends in parallel to its axis and with a hole (8) that extends at an angle to the plane of the longitudinal slot (6) and through the diameter of the support (5). A connecting rod (9) extends through the hole (8) and is secured by a nut (15) on one end. It is non- positively fastened on the other end in a measuring cell (10) that rests against the exterior of the support (5). The measuring cell is enclosed by a measuring cell housing (7). The weight of the silo (1) reversibly expands the slot (6) to a degree that is substantially proportional to the weight, thereby exerting a corresponding force on the connecting rod (9), which force is transmitted to the measuring cell (10) and measured. A cable (11) is used for power supply and signal connection.

Ce capteur de mesure est entouré d'un boîtier (7). Le poids du silo (1) élargit la fente (6) de manière réversible, essentiellement en proportion du poids, cet élargissement exerçant sur la tige de traction (9) une force correspondante qui est transmise au capteur de mesure (10) et mesurée par ce dernier. Un câble (11) sert à l'alimentation électrique et à la liaison de signaux.
