A silo vehicle, especially a charging vehicle for electrolytic cells used in the manufacture of aluminum, includes a vehicle chassis (2), a driver cabin (3) and a silo container (4) for containing material. The silo container (4) is upwardly inclined in the direction of travel, has a discharge end located forward in direction of travel, is rotatable in two mutually opposite directions of rotation and is provided with an internal screw (7) for the conveying of the material towards the discharge end. The discharge end of the silo container (4) consists of a rotatable head portion (8) to which a conveyor system is mounted. This conveyor system is constructed as a driven continuous conveyor. Sticking and caking of the bulk material in the silo container and the conveyor system a is substantially prevented.
