ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The disclosure describes a silver halide photo-sensitive material having at least one silver halide emulsion layer on a support. The silver halide emulsion layer contains at least one magenta-forming coupler of lH-pyrazolo[3,2-c]-s-triazole type which is substituted by a tertiary alkyl group at the 3-position and, by another releasable group than a hydrogen atom at the 7-position. This material is highly color developable, has high light resistance, and formaldehyde resistance. For example, it can form a magenta dye image improved in preservability, and especially in light resistance.
