A manually operated fishing reel Sliverseeker twist "n" cast-center pin float reel having independent reeling and unreeling modes and an easy cast future. The reel has a spool/spindle witch can be rotated/positioned on a perpendicular position to the fishing rod to obtain an easy cast position through a swivel attached to the fishing rod, so the axis of the reel may be rotated to lie parallel to the attached rod, when casting, and rotated to be perpendicular to the rod when reeling in the fishing line. .cndot. Twisting/rotating the spool/spindle of the reel is optional for use and is done with hand pressure to the spool. .cndot. The brake of unreeling speed of the spool/spindle is activated by hand pressure on the spool/spindle. The reel may include a drag mechanism releasable engageable with the spool/spindle for imposing a drag upon rotation of the spool.
