- 19 - SYNTHESIS OF SILYL CARBAMATE ABSTRACT Silyl carbamates. are produced by the reaction under suitable reaction conditions of silanes bearing at least one silicon- hydrogen bond of the formula: R4-xSiHx with an ammonium carbamate of the formula: R'R"?H2R'R"NCO?. This novel route is much simplier and more direct than those previously known and provide a new classes of silyl carbamates.
