.The invention concerns a novel method for making an intermediate rolled product in aluminium alloy of the type Al-Zn-Mg which consists in: continuous casting of a plate containing in wt. %: Mg 0.5 2.0 Mn< 1.0 Zn 3.0 9.0 Si< 0.50 Fe< 0.50 Cu <0.50 Ti< 0.15 Zr< 0.15 Cr< 0.50, the remainder being aluminium and its unavoidable impurities, wherein Zn/Mg> 1.7, wherein the homogenizing, hot rolling, online hardening, hot rolling and coiling temperatures are selected in a very specific manner and are reduced throughout the process. This inexpensive method enables the compromise of certain mechanical properties and the use of the resulting sheets and strips to be improved.

L'invention présente un nouveau procédé d'élaboration d'un produit laminé intermédiaire en alliage d'aluminium de type AI-Zn-Mg de composition Mg 0,5 - 2,0 Mn< 1,0 Zn 3,0 - 9,0 Si< 0,50 Fe< 0,50 Cu <0,50 Ti< 0,15 Zr< 0,20 Cr< 0,50. Le reste de l'aluminium avec ses inévitables impuretés, dans laquelle Zn/Mg> 1,7, élaboré par coulée semi-continue une plaque contenant (en pourcents massiques), dans lequel les températures d'homogénéisation, de laminage à chaud, de trempe en ligne, de laminage à chaud et de bobinage sont choisies d'une manière très particulière et diminuent tout au long du procédé. Ce procédé peu onéreux permet d'améliorer le compromis de certaines propriétés mécaniques et d'usage des tôles et bandes obtenues.
