Abstract: A mold for use in a rotary molder for molding treats for pets. The mold comprises a curved plate having at least one depression formed on one side of the curved plate, the depression being bounded along the curved plate by a perimeter and the perimeter being in the shape of an outline of an egg. The depression has a generally planar surface located entirely within the depression, the planar surface having a generally circular perimeter and is raised above the surrounding area of the depression. The planar surface has a plurality of raised ridges, each of the ridges lying entirely within the depression. The product resulting when dough is passed beneath a rotary molder having the curved plate attached thereto looks like a hard boiled egg.
