- 8 - ABSTRACT STIMULATED ROCK A simulated rock comprises a shell (1) having a generally convex portion (2) and a generally planar peripheral flange (3). Planting holes 6 are defined in the shell so that the simulated rock may be filled with soil with the flange (3) buried, and plants may be planted through the aperture (6) into the soil beneath. The shell (1) is coated with stone or rock particles to provide a simulated rock appearance.
