A simulation apparatus compact in size, light weight, low cost, and low-power consumption is provided, with which a trainee can highly feel as if at a live performance, and which the visual field of the trainee is wide. The apparatus has: a riding unit for riding a trainee whereon; a direction detector for detecting a rotating direction of the trainee on the riding unit; a memory for storing an image for the rotating direction of the trainee on the riding unit; a display for displaying the image; a motor for rotating the display around the trainee; and a controller for: rotating the motor until the display faces the direction detected by the direction detector, reading out the image for the direction detected by the direction detector from the memory; and displaying the image read out from the memory on the display.
