There is described a method for simulating an imaging process for an organ, the method comprising: retrieving from a memory a 3D volume model of the organ, the 3D volume model describing a 3D structure of the organ and a distribution of density within the 3D structure, the 3D structure representing a surface and internal features of the organ; generating a slice of the 3D model according to a position and an orientation of an imaging device, the slice including a cross-section of the surface and the internal features; rendering an image in accordance with the slice; and displaying the image.
Linvention concerne un procédé de simulation dun processus dimagerie pour un organe, ledit procédé comprenant les étapes suivantes : Récupération dun modèle de volume 3D de lorgane dans une mémoire, le modèle de volume 3D décrivant une structure 3D de lorgane et une distribution de la densité au sein de la structure 3D, la structure 3D représentant une surface et des caractéristiques internes de lorgane ; Génération dune tranche du modèle 3D conformément à une position et à lorientation dun appareil dimagerie, la tranche incluant une coupe transversale de la surface et des caractéristiques internes ; Restitution dune image conformément à la tranche ; et Affichage de limage.
