A method, and associated apparatus and system, for simultaneous cell group and cyclic prefix (CP) detection, having the steps of determining primary synchronization signal (P-SyS) timing .TAU. using the P-SyS; based on .TAU., determine a secondary synchronization signal (S-SyS) timing; placing a single Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) window; FFT processing the signal to obtain the frequency domain S-SyS symbols; equalizing the frequency domain S-SyS signal; phase correcting the S-SyS signal; and detecting the cell group and CP length by the correlation giving maximum energy.

L'invention concerne un procédé, un appareil et un système associés, pour une détection simultanée de groupe de cellules et de préfixe cyclique (CP). Ledit procédé consiste à déterminer un instant de signal de synchronisation primaire (P-SyS) t à l'aide de P-SyS ; sur la base de t, à déterminer un instant de signal de synchronisation secondaire (S-SyS) ; à placer une seule fenêtre de transformation de Fourier rapide(FFT) ; à traiter par FFT le signal pour obtenir les symboles S-SyS de domaine fréquentiel ; à égaliser le signal S-SyS de domaine fréquentiel ; à corriger en phase le signal S-SyS ; et à détecter le groupe de cellules et la longueur de CP par la corrélation donnant l'énergie maximale.
