A single access dialysis needle system comprises a first cannula (40), a second cannula or sheath (44), and a barrier (50) arranged on the outer surface of the first cannula (40). The distal end of the first cannula (40) extends distal to the distal end of the second cannula or outer sheath (44) and the barrier (50) is positioned between the respective distal ends. When the barrier (50) is inflated or otherwise activated, it prevents or minimizes recirculation.

L'invention concerne un système d'aiguille de dialyse à accès unique comprenant une première canule, une seconde canule ou gaine et une barrière placée sur la surface extérieure de la première canule. L'extrémité distale de la première canule s'étend de façon distale par rapport à l'extrémité distale de la seconde canule ou gaine extérieure et la barrière est positionnée entre les extrémités distales respectives.
