An apparatus (20) for carrying out a multi-step process of converting hydrocarbon fuel (F) to a substantially pure hydrogen gas feed (H) includes a plurality of reaction zones (202, 204, 206, 208, 210) arranged in a common reaction chamber (212). The multi-step process includes providing a fuel (F) to the fuel processor (226) so that as the fuel (F) reacts and forms the hydrogen rich gas (H), the intermediate gas products pass through each reaction zone as arranged in the reactor to produce the hydrogen rich gas (H).

L'invention concerne un dispositif (20) permettant la mise en oeuvre d'un processus multi-étapes de conversion d'hydrocarbures (F) en une charge (H) d'hydrogène gazeux sensiblement pur. Ce dispositif comprend une pluralité de zones (202, 204, 206, 208, 210) de réaction aménagées dans une chambre (212) à réaction commune.
