A cosmetic composition is provided which includes from 0.01 to 10% of single-crystal platy barium sulfate, from 0.5 to 10% of a water insoluble powdered acrylic polymer in porous particle form and a carrier. The composition has soft focus optics imparting radiance to the applied skin area without excessive shininess or opacity and has excellent skinfeel properties.

L'invention concerne une composition cosmétique comprenant de 0,01 à 10 % d'un monocristal lamellaire de sulfate de baryum, de 0,5 à 10 % d'un polymère acrylique pulvérulent insoluble dans l'eau sous forme de particules poreuses et un véhicule. La composition présente des propriétés optiques de focalisation adoucie qui confèrent un éclat à la zone de peau sur laquelle elle est appliquée, sans brillance ni opacité excessive. Elle présente également d'excellentes propriétés de toucher sur la peau.
