This invention provides noble metal nanoparticles that have novel form, size and arrangement and can be used, for example, in catalysts and electrodes. Micells, which are semicylindrical in section and are formed in a rod form, are self-created and fixed on a carrier substrate. A noble metal ion is added and dispersed in the micells to combine the micells with the noble metal ion. Next, a reducing agent is allowed to act, whereby the inside of the fixed micelle is used as a reaction field to allow a reduction reaction of the noble metal to proceed, and single crystalline noble metal ultrafine thin film nanoparticles are grown on a carrier substrate using the fixed micells having the above shape as a template.

La présente invention concerne des nanoparticules de métal noble ayant une forme, une taille et une configuration nouvelles et pouvant servir par exemple dans des catalyseurs et des électrodes. Des micelles, qui sont de section semi-cylindrique et en forme de tige, sont créées automatiquement et fixées sur un substrat porteur. On ajoute un ion de métal noble que l~on disperse dans les micelles pour combiner les micelles avec l'ion de métal noble. Ensuite, on laisse agir un agent réducteur, étape au cours de laquelle on utilise l~intérieur des micelles fixées comme champ de réaction pour permettre une réaction de réduction du métal noble, et l~on cultive des nanoparticules de film ultramince de métal noble monocristallin sur un substrat porteur à l~aide des micelles fixées ayant la forme ci-dessus comme gabarit.
