Abstract of the Disclosure An improved single facer is proposed which is provided with a control system for automatically controlling the gap between the lower corrugating roll and the glue roll and/or that between the former and the press roll according to the thickness of the material passing between them. The thickness of the material and the gap between the rolls are detected and an electrical signal proportional to the difference between them is given to a drive motor, which moves the glue roll and/or the press roll toward and away from the lower corrugating roll.
