ABSTRACT The object of the present invention consists in a single-use self-heating container for liquids and/or solids, said container comprising an insulating external envelope, a plastic material vessel, arranged within said envelope and fastened to the same as an integral piece, said vessel being divided into two compartments. i.e. an upper and a lower compartment separated by a membrane; a metallic container for containing solid and/or liquid substances, which is fastened by keying with shrinking-on and thermal welding to said plastic material vessel at the upper position of the same and is closed at the top by a thermally welded diaphragm that can be peeled of; a covering member that seals and protect said self-heating container at the upper position; a breaking member arranged inside the lower compartment of said vessel, said member being able to break said membrane when acted upon by external starting means; a liquid reagent being contained within the lower compartment of said vessel, whereas a solid reagent is contained within the upper compartment, or viceversa, both non-toxic. A non-toxic, low heat capacity substance can be provided within the upper compartment of the plastic material vessel for temperature control, whose state transition temperature ranges between 90 and 100°C, to prevent the container of the invention from undergoing abrupt changes that give rise to dangerous overpressures.
