ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A sintered body of high heat-conductivity comprised of cubic system boron nitride is obtained by a process in which born nitride of an alkaline earth metal or alkali metal in an amount of from 0.6 mol % to 1.2 mol % is uniformly diffused and held in a hexagonal system boron nitride body and the body is sintered at a high temperature of 1350°C and above under a thermodynamically stabilized condition of the cubic system boron nitride.
