A cutting insert includes a body formed of sintered powder, with a center hole extending through the body for receiving a fastening screw. The center hole includes a cylindrical portion. The body includes two side surfaces extending downwardly from respective main cutting edges of the insert. A recess is formed in each side surface and extends to the bottom of the body. Each recess has a length longer than the diameter of the center hole. Preferably, the length of the recess is 120% of the diameter of the center hole.
L'invention concerne une plaquette de coupe comprenant un corps constitué d'une poudre frittée, présentant un orifice central traversant destiné à recevoir une vis de fixation. Cet orifice central comporte une partie cylindrique. Le corps comprend deux surfaces latérales s'étendant vers le bas à partir des bords de coupe principaux respectifs de la plaquette. Un retrait est formée dans chaque surface latérale, et s'avance jusqu'au bas du corps. Chaque retrait présente une longueur plus grande que le diamètre de l'orifice central. La longueur de la zone en retrait correspond de préférence à 120 % du diamètre de l'orifice central.
