ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention disclosed is a multi-layer silver/silver chloride sintered electrode structure for use in electrolytic cells, particularly at low temperatures. Each layer includes an evenly dispersed matrix of metallic silver bonded to silver chloride particles, compressed onto a metal grid. A method for the manufacture of the electrode is also disclosed.
