Abstract The ice skate according to the invention contains a body (1) which is connected to the sliding blade, and a vertical edge (3) is situated along the longitudinal axis of its upper surface, the ice skate being manufac- tured from a composite material, and the sliding blade being metallic, metallo-ceramic or being produceable from a different material and being fastened with the aid of a releasable connection.
