ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A skate mounting assembly for a skate sharpening machine of the type in which the skate is held securely and the sharpening stone is drawn over the stationary blade. The mounting assembly is to be secured to the sharpening machine and includes an elongated open framework defining a skate receiving area and skate clamping means are mounted on the assembly and consist of a pair of jaws being located opposite one another with at least one of the jaws being movable toward and away from the gap and the other jaw.
