The present invention relates to a skate sharpener that comprises a base element (1) and a grinding element (15) contained in the base element (1), wherein the base element (1) and the grinding element (15) can rotate relative to each other with respect to a central longitudinal axis (C-C) of the sharpener, the base element (1) has a number of first slots (7A-7G) that are distributed along the circumference of the base element (1), while the first slots (7A-7G) have different width among themselves, the grinding element (15) has a grinding part (16), and the grinding part (16) is provided with an outer abrasive surface. The characteristic feature of the skate sharpener according to the present invention is that it has means (11A- 11H, 7A-7G, 18) for fixing the grinding part (16) in predetermined positions relative to the first slots (7A-7G).
