A skateboard for use on ice, comprising: a board having an under surface, a riding surface, and a central longitudinal axis; one or more blades mounted centrally on the under surface and dividing the under surface into a first side and a second side; and one or more lateral stabilizers mounted on the under surface to provide lateral stabilization of the board to a user on both the first side and second side of the under surface, and the one or more lateral stabilizers each comprising flexible friction elements extending away from the under surface of the board to provide, in use, retardation of the speed of the board.
