A process for converting linear C5 olefins in the presence of contaminants C5 diolefins to corresponding iso-olefins of the same carbon number comprises contacting a linear C5 olefin-containing organic feedstock in the presence hydrogen with a catalyst comprising material having the structure of ZSM-35 under conditions including a temperature of 100 and 750 °C, a weight hourly space velocity (WHSV) based on linear C5 olefins in said feedstock between 0.1 and 500 WHSV, and C5 linear olefin partial pressure of 2 to 2000 kPa.
