ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A ski binding comprises a base plate integral with upwardly directed side plates on both sides thereof, the upper margins of these side plates pointing towards each other to give support to the sole of the ski shoe, and the base plate carrying a pivotally attached clamping yoke, the upwardly bent ends of the rearwardly pointing legs of this yoke engaging from below in holes provided in the sole of the skiing shoe. The yoke may be secured in position with the aid of a bar on the foremost part of the base plate. When the ski shoe is attached to the ski the upwardly bent ends of the yoke urge the shoe forwardly, whereby its sole is wedged between the side plates.
