The invention concerns a ski pole (1) comprising at its upper end a grip handle (2), characterised in that said handle (2) comprises a support point (4), emerging from its side wall (2a) and designed to co-operate with the thumb (5) of a user, so as to provide additional means for axial transmission of force, by said thumb (5), when the hand is closed on the handle (2) of the pole (1).
