ABREGE : Laser à plaque avec pompage optique par source à plage d'émission étroite. Un laser à plaque Nd/YAG (1) est pompé par des diodes laser (2) qui sont placées à distance de la plaque laser. Des réflecteurs (7) conduisent la lumière de ces diodes vers cette plaque. La distance est telle que la densité de cette lumière est homogénéisée.
