A sled for transporting people, in particular the disabled, comprises a plurality of skis or other elements (7a - 7c, 40a - 40c) for translation with respect to the ground, a support structure (2) provided with a seat (3), means (4) to support the limbs of the user, means (9) to steer the sled, means to support a passenger (6, 28, 29), separate from the seat (3) and from the skis, and connection element or base (20) to which the support structure (2) and at least one of the translation elements are constrained in an oscillating manner to take inclined positions with respect to the base connecting element (20).
